I have worked with several gym based trainers for the last 10 years and seen varying degrees of results. However, if you are looking for more focussed, faster and more deep rooted results combined with injury rehabilitation and nutrition Jennie’s approach is refreshing, incredibly effective and comprehensive. I would not waste further money on trainers based in gyms who do not have the level of knowledge and training that the CHEK practioners have. After several years of declining physical activity, increasing injuries and ineffective time spent in the gym my wife finally persuaded me to seek professional help!

With some reluctance I made my first appointment with Jennie at the beginning of January 2007.

Mental and physical fitness-wise - the best thing I have ever done!

In about 12 weeks my body shape, muscle tone and physical self-esteem improved massively and this was without hours of cycling, running, rowing or cross-training which I always believed I needed to do. Now, with some 18 months of Jennie under my belt, I have to say that my body shape, physical condition and general fitness/well-being are in a different league.

Jennie’s approach is both supportive and educational, although having said that she’ll push you as far as you can go too! She has a great depth of knowledge encompassing anatomy, physiology, nutrition and diet which makes for a holistic view of exercise that I’ve found really beneficial.

Jennie has gradually introduced me to a combination of exercises that have worked really well in producing results and maintaining a regime that remains interesting, even when exercising alone.

I had been suffering with a number of long term injuries and was recovering from a hernia operation when I first saw Jennie and she has not only provided a challenging and enjoyable programme but also taught me breathing/channelling techniques which have produced great results. In addition she went out of her way to find and recommend a specialist chiropractor who has, at last, identified the root cause of my leg problems and is putting things right.

From day one I’ve found Jennie great fun to spend time with as she has a genuine interest in ‘you the client’ and makes the sessions really enjoyable, if ‘enjoyable’ is the right adjective to use in such circumstances!

I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Jennie as a personal trainer.

I had been going to the gym for about 10 years and could never fathom why I wasn’t a size 8. On my way there to do my 30 minutes of cardio I would be late, so on arrival would decide that 20 mins cardio was probably enough. By the time I had changed I’d talked myself into 10 minutes and once on the bike I’d get off after 5 minutes as I was rather warm and surely that was enough? There then followed a rather half hearted session with pretty light weights and straight into the sauna for a ‘warm down’ Recognise the pattern?

I decided to enlist Jenny’s support and soon realised what I was doing wrong and funnily enough it wasn’t just my cardio workout, but my whole approach to training along with my diet and mental attitude too. My original plan had been to enlist Jenny as my trainer to get me in shape for the summer holidays and rid me of my jelly belly but nearly 18 months on I am still seeing her.

I’ve become a convert to my weekly sessions that not only give me focus and an easy to follow regime when I go to the gym on my own but motivate me, inspire me and make me feel good. So good in fact that for my 50th birthday I had a set of photos taken as a keepsake of what I had achieved – apart from my husband I am not sure who I can show them too but I am thrilled to now have the confidence to even have the pictures taken.
